The Last Quarter
My last quarter at Stanford has begun. It may very well be the last formalized schooling I ever pursue, which is sort of odd to consider given that the vast majority of my life to date has been occupied by school.
Stanford has been a great place for me to learn and grow. I've built a ton of great relationships with people of all types and interests. I've loved how Stanford lets everyone pursue their individual passions without imposing too much bureaucracy (it has it, but every large institution has to have some sort of bureaucracy, I recognize). I've grown far more than I probably ever expected, even though I expected to grow and be challenged a lot.
Now, as we look to grow our startup, I'm challenging myself more and more every day and just trying to learn as fast as I can while avoiding fatal mistakes. It's made me better, although I have to admit that it can be stressful (what period of rapid growth isn't?) I'm trying my best to simultaneously enjoy the experience that I came out to the valley to get, but it's a learning experience like any of the tactical skills I am gaining along the way.
I've struggled a bit to share this experience through the blog and as a result have mostly stopped blogging, but I'm going to try to figure out just how I might actually integrate this experience into my blogging. If nothing else, I'd like to start blogging more about personal things to cover the gap, but because I spend so much time on the startup, it ends up being most of the "content" of my life and thus it is hard to write about much else.
Like I said, it's all a learning experience, and I'm trying to just take it one step at a time. I appreciate all the help and support I've had from friends and family along the way!
